Talk about the trend of $ETH . From a larger time frame, it's actually quite clear.
Looking at the weekly and monthly charts, ETH is forming a relatively standard head and shoulders bottom structure. The left shoulder is roughly around 2100, followed by the formation of the 'head', and now we are in the right shoulder retracement. However, there's one crucial point - it has never broken below the left shoulder low. This fact itself is a strong signal.
Next, as long as we can effectively break through the neckline, the head and shoulders bottom will basically be confirmed.
So if you hold ETH below 2000, to be honest, there's really no need to be anxious every day, just hold on; this structure is on your side. Conversely, those who are too afraid to hold but hope for a crash every day are the ones most likely to be shaken out at critical positions.
Of course, if you belong to those who haven’t entered at lower levels but value certainty more, it’s not impossible to participate. The technical analysis has already laid out the answer - wait for the breakout to buy. Just be clear that once the neckline is truly broken, the price will likely be above 5000; what you buy then is not cheap, but a trend.
The market is already quite clear, yet still fantasizing about three-digit ETH is somewhat out of touch with the cycle. In the last bear market, ETH's lowest was 880, BTC dropped from over 17,000 to about 15,000, but ETH's 880 has never been broken. This round just reached a new high and is already hoping for three digits; the logic itself is not very valid.
So I would choose to start dollar-cost averaging ETH around 2000. It might not be the absolute bottom, but it is definitely a range worth betting on.
If ETH really drops to three digits, it means the entire market has systematically collapsed. By then, you probably won’t want to buy; you’d just think it could drop further.
Rather than repeatedly making such unrealistic expectations, it’s better to accept one fact: once a trend is established, you should be a bit bolder.
The market never rewards those who wait for perfection; it only rewards those who dare to act in the right direction.
