Japan's interest rate hike has caused me to lose millions twice; I'm on high alert for the third time!
The first two interest rate hikes in Japan caused me significant losses. The first was at the beginning of August last year, when several of my large long positions were liquidated because I wasn't monitoring the market, resulting in a loss of over one hundred thousand dollars. Fortunately, by that time, I had recouped my principal, and my mindset was relatively stable; later, I managed to earn back some through long positions.
The second time was at the beginning of February this year; I wasn't paying much attention during the New Year holidays, and suddenly the market plummeted. My Ethereum long position was liquidated near 2100 dollars, and my Bitcoin and SOL long positions were also liquidated, resulting in a total loss of several tens of thousands of dollars. After that, I gradually recovered my losses mainly by shorting for the next two to three months.
After April, my condition wasn't great, and some said that for the next year, it was better to be cautious than aggressive, so I reduced my trading activities.
These two experiences have made me fully realize the power of Japan's interest rate hikes—these are lessons bought with real money. Previously, my trading style was aggressive, and I didn't review past trades much, but now I understand that the tuition in this market is very expensive.
I've heard that Japan may raise interest rates for the third time soon, and I've already started preparing more than a month in advance. This time, I plan to use a larger sum of money to respond well, aiming to seize opportunities and lay some groundwork for a turn in luck next year.
