It was also during that time that I first came across 'virtual currency.' The person in the video spoke casually: 'The only chance for ordinary people to turn their lives around.' 'Catch a wave, and you won't have to work anymore.' 'With this, I bought a house and a car in three years.'
At first, I didn't believe it. But I couldn't resist—scrolling every day, pushing every day, and everyone was making money. I started to get curious.
I didn't search, didn't join groups, didn't attend classes, didn't watch live streams; I just saw some people posting profit data, which unconsciously sparked my interest. One sentence: I need money.
I am not interested in any new terms like blockchain, consensus, mining, decentralization, etc.
and I didn't really understand it. I only understood one sentence: 'Those who bought early have already turned their lives around.' I started to feel unbalanced. Why can they succeed, while I can only make 5000? Why, after working for over ten years, am I not as good as others who just tap their phones a few times?
I want to enter the circle and earn 2 million. 2 million is a very small amount for many people, but for a poor loser like me, it's enough. At that time, I had no ambition. I felt that 2 million was enough for me to marry and have children in a third-tier city rural area; that would be very comfortable.
