What we want to earn is a lifetime of usable income, not a lifetime of endlessly chasing fluctuations in trading.
In the cryptocurrency world, those who survive and thrive are often not the smartest, but the most disciplined.
Here are three survival rules for contracts that I have personally tested and validated:
1. To make money, you must hold on to it.
Making money is not difficult; the challenge is not to let profits evaporate.
For example, when the coin price rises by 10%, you must be vigilant; if the price falls back to the cost price, you should decisively take profits and exit.
When you profit by 20%, at least lock in 10% of your profits; when you profit by 30%, at least lock in 15%.
You don't need to sell at the highest point; just keep accumulating profits through "rolling take profits".
Market trends are like waves; learning to protect profits during upward waves is what makes a true trader.
2. When losing money, stop loss comes before judgment.
Before each entry, set a stop-loss red line, for example: if losses reach 15%, exit immediately.
Do not fantasize about "waiting for a rebound to exit"; this is the most expensive thought in trading.
Losses are not scary, making mistakes is not scary; what is scary is being unwilling to admit mistakes and reluctant to exit.
Trading is not a face game, but a serious survival competition.
3. After selling, be brave enough to buy back if the price drops.
If the price falls after you sell, and you still believe in its trend, you can buy back the same amount at the original price or lower.
This keeps your holding amount unchanged while increasing your available funds.
Even if you miss the rebound, there is no need to regret; if it rises, you can rebuild your position, and if it falls, follow the discipline to stop loss.
This cycle of "sell - wait - buy" can help you reduce the risk of missing out and always stay proactive.
Short-term trading is essentially a game of rhythm and discipline.
Quick entry and exit is not random operation; taking profits when available is not cowardice, waiting with a cash position is not giving up opportunities.
The key is whether, amidst the market's violent fluctuations, you can maintain your rhythm, mindset, and capital.
Remember:
In the cryptocurrency world, it's not about who earns quickly, but who survives longer. Stability is the greatest compound interest.
