While part of the market participants continue to wait for the start of the new altcoin season, BitMEX co-founder Arthur Hayes claims that he has actually been gone for a long time.
During a YouTube podcast, the entrepreneur stated that "the altcoin season is always happening." According to him, the feeling of his absence is related to the fact that many traders did not hold assets that showed growth.
Hayes noted that market participants continue to expect a repetition of scenarios from previous years. Traders want the new cycle to look the same as the previous ones, as this created a sense of a clear and predictable process, the businessman is convinced.
As an example, he pointed to Hyperliquid $HYPE . He noted that the project was launched at a price around $2-$3, after which the value rose to approximately $60. Hayes called this case one of the best stories of the current crypto cycle. He also reminded about Solana $SOL , which fell to nearly $7 in 2022, and at the beginning of this year rose to nearly $300.
