1. The State Council issued the (Comprehensive Action Plan for Solid Waste Management), which mentions that, in principle, no new mining projects will be approved without self-built mines and supporting tailings utilization and disposal facilities; by 2030, the annual comprehensive utilization of major solid waste will reach 4.5 billion tons, and the annual recycling volume of major renewable resources will reach 510 million tons; strengthen environmental law enforcement supervision and severely crack down on illegal environmental activities related to solid waste.
2. According to reports from Taiwanese media, some representatives of the Democratic Progressive Party proposed to amend the current "Cross-Strait Relations Regulations" in Taiwan, positioning the cross-strait relationship as "Taiwan and the People's Republic of China," and deleting the phrase "before national reunification" from the original text. The spokesperson for the State Council's Taiwan Affairs Office, Chen Binhua, stated that "Taiwan independence" means war, and is a dead end, a path to ruin. We have full confidence and sufficient capability to crush any form of "de facto Taiwan independence" schemes and will never allow the forces of "Taiwan independence" to separate Taiwan from China in any name or manner!
