Ethereum (ETH) börjar juli 2026 med att handlas nära 1 570 USD, vilket är nära de lägsta nivåerna på flera månader. Detta sker efter att Ethereum har haft tre röda kvartalsstaplar i rad för första gången.
Data från blockkedjan och prisdiagram berättar nu olika historier. Användningen av nätverket minskar, men stora ägare verkar köpa. Därför är det svårt att säga vilken riktning juli kommer att ta.
ETH i juli 2026: Aktiva adresser når nya bottennivåer
Glassnodes data om aktiva adresser visar minskat engagemang. Det 14-dagars glidande snittet nådde cirka 795 000 i början av februari 2026. Sedan dess har antalet sjunkit till cirka 420 000, vilket är en minskning på ungefär 46 %.
Den tidiga ökningen var ovanlig. Antalet adresser steg i januari medan priset föll, vilket tyder på spekulation, inte stadig efterfrågan. Båda siffrorna vände sedan ner samtidigt.
Under våren höll priset sig bättre än användningen. Korta uppgångar i antalet aktiva adresser under mars, april och maj höll sig inte kvar. Junis siffror är de lägsta på diagrammet, och trenden har ännu inte vänt uppåt.
För att signalen ska vända krävs en stadig uppgång i aktiva adresser, inte bara ännu en kortvarig topp.

Situationen för adresser ser svag ut. Dock gör data om stora ägare bilden mer komplex. Glassnodes statistik över adresser med 1 000 till 10 000 ETH ökade kraftigt i slutet av juni.
Den ökningen gav den största förändringen på 30 dagar på diagrammet och inträffade när priset var på lägsta nivån. Att stora ägare köper när priset är lågt kan betyda att de positionerar sig tidigt.
Extern data om flöden visar också blandade signaler. Vissa rapporter visar att valar köpte ETH för tiotals miljoner USD, medan spot-Ethereum ETF:er hade nettoutflöden under juni. Bitmines ordförande Tom Lee kopplade en del av nedgången till fondernas beteende vid kvartalsslut.
Det finns dock en viktig sak att tänka på. En liknande ökning av valadresser i slutet av februari ledde till en lokal topp innan priset föll, så stigande antal valadresser har inte varit en tydlig köpsignal den här cykeln.

Den kvartalsvisa bilden visar varför det tekniska läget är viktigt. CoinGlass data som analytikern Ted Pillows delat visar att ETH stängde Q4 2025 ned 28,28 %, Q1 2026 ned 29,26 % och Q2 2026 ned 24,77 %.

Det är första gången i datan, som startar 2016, som tre röda kvartal radas upp. Tidigare längsta nedgångsperioder var två kvartal, både 2018 och 2019.
Den här nedgången skiljer sig också. I stället för en stor krasch har ETH förlorat i värde under tre ganska lika kvartal. Den bredare marknaden har mjuknat samtidigt.
Månadsgrafen testar en viktig Fibonacci-nivå
Månadsgrafen visar ETH nära en nivå som tidigare varit viktig. Priset ligger runt 1 570 USD och en stängning här blir den lägsta månadsstängningen sedan mars 2023.
0,786 Fibonacci-retracement, från lågpunkten 881 USD till toppnoteringen 4 956 USD, ligger vid cirka 1 753 USD. Det området fungerade som stöd vid fyra tillfällen och matchar tyngsta volymnoden i profilen.
Priset handlas nu under den nivån mitt i månaden. En månadsstängning under den skulle bekräfta brytningen och ge utrymme ner mot 1 200 USD och sedan lågpunkten 881 USD. Månatlig RSI är omkring 40, så momentum är ännu inte översålt.

Daggrafen visar den närmaste utmaningen. ETH har tappat tre viktiga stödnivåer, nära 2 375 USD, 2 175 USD och 1 925 USD och de fungerar nu som motstånd.
Priset har också brutit under en fallande kanal och misslyckades med två återtester av strukturen i juni. Det håller nu precis ovanför ett sista behovsområde runt den psykologiska nivån 1 500 USD.
Volymen har minskat under nedgången och Bollinger Bands bandbredd är nu mycket låg. Låg volatilitet brukar komma före större rörelser, men en sammandragning visar bara möjlig storlek på rörelsen, inte riktning.
Situationen visar två tydliga alternativ. Om stängningen per dag går under 1 500 USD kan priset sjunka till området kring 1 200 USD. Men om priset återhämtar sig över 1 753 USD gäller inte längre det negativa scenariot. Den tidigare månadens analys visade samma viktiga område.

Tecknen pekar åt två håll. Trenden, förlorade stödnivåer och färre aktiva adresser tyder på försiktighet. Men ökad uppsamling av större investerare och mindre prisrörelser kan ge en snabb återhämtning.
Två prisnivåer är viktiga under månaden. Om priset håller sig över 1 500 USD finns en chans att det återhämtar sig mot 1 753 USD. Men om priset går under 1 500 USD kan det sjunka mer. Ungefär 10,63 miljarder USD i optionsförfall för juni förföll redan, därför kan trycket på marknaden minska.
Just nu tyder siffrorna på att marknaden är i balans och inte visar någon tydlig riktning. De första veckostängningarna i juli nära 1 500 USD och 1 753 USD kan visa vilken riktning marknaden tar.

Den modellen slår direkt mot hur Circle tjänar pengar. Ränta på reserver stod för 99% av intäkterna under 2024, enligt deras rapport.
Circle betalade Coinbase 908 miljoner USD det året för att distribuera USDC. Nu har Coinbase gått med i en konkurrent som låter partner behålla dessa intäkter från reserverna.
Circle aktien sjönk nästan 15% på nyheten och nådde lägsta nivån för dagen. Det fortsatte en svag period efter att Circle aktien stigit från 50 USD till 129 USD under sex veckor tidigare i år.
Största risken gäller distribution. Circle ökade när USDC gick om Tether i företagsöverföringar, men Open USDs stödjare inkluderar de nätverk som hanterar största delen av pengarna.
Circle har fortfarande fördelar. Deras USDC har regleringsstatus i USA och Europa samt hög likviditet på börser.
Ett konsortium står bakom Open USD
Open Standard ska driva token genom en oberoende styrelse av partnerföretag. Zach Abrams leder bolaget tillfälligt. Han startade Bridge, ett stablecoinföretag som Stripe köpte för 1,1 miljarder USD år 2025.
Stödjarna finns inom finans och teknik, från BlackRock och BNY till Google och Shopify. Många har egna stablecoins eller bygger infrastruktur för stablecoins, vilket liknar Mastercards senaste betalningsintegrationer för stablecoin.
Stripe har kopplat sitt betalningssystem direkt till token.
“Open USD blir standard-stablecoin för företag som använder Stripe…” står det i ett utdrag från meddelandet, enligt Will Gaybrick, teknik- och affärschef på Stripe.
Circle, Tether och PayPal deltar inte i projektet. Tether USDT leder med cirka 185 miljarder USD och Circle USDC kommer tvåa med runt 74 miljarder USD.

Trots detta finns en tveksam historik för konsortier. Visa, Mastercard och Stripe stödde alla Facebooks Libra stablecoin 2019, men drog sig ur inom några månader på grund av regulatoriska krav.

Australia’s Crypto Travel Rule begins on 1 July. All regulated exchanges must now include the sender’s and recipient’s identity information on every inbound and outbound transfer, with no minimum threshold.
The rule comes into effect at the same time as Europe’s MiCA licensing requirements take effect on the same day. As a result, Australia is right in the middle of a period when major markets are tightening their crypto regulations.

BeInCrypto analyst has investigated institutional money and options positions to find three names where the charts show how traders behave.
Circle Internet Group (CRCL)
Circle is at the center of the July 1 MiCA deadline and is the first of three MiCA stocks to watch. The regulation pushes out euro stablecoins that don’t comply with the rules from the EU market, and that development directly benefits Circle. Their EURC now has roughly half the market for euro stablecoins, while USDC is one of the few top 10 stablecoins that is approved under the new rules.

Employment decreases in industries where AI is used extensively. These industries have, on average, lost about 11,000 jobs each month over the past three months.
The figures, shared by The Kobeissi Letter, clearly show that automation is changing the hiring of office workers.

Real-world assets (RWA) and tokenization have become the most important area for Web3 founders, according to a new report from Proof of Talk.
The report “The State of Web3 Capital 2026” is based on more than 200 startup applications to Proof of Pitch 2026 and a survey of 13 active Web3 venture capital funds. It shows that both founders and investors now want to focus more on RWA products than on DeFi.

RWA and tokenization were the main focus area for 29% of applications. DeFi came next with 23%, and decentralized AI accounted for 11%. The report describes the increase in tokenized assets as the clearest trend in their data.

California has signed a unique agreement with Anthropic that gives state agencies, cities, and counties access to the Claude assistant with a 50% discount.

Gold fell to its weakest level since the beginning of November 2025 on Tuesday, as uncertainty over the war in the Middle East weighed on the metal.
Sales spread to precious metals. Silver fell 1.4% to 57.4 USD, platinum dropped 1.25% to 1,572 USD and palladium decreased 0.45% to 1,216 USD. The four precious metals showed monthly losses.
Why is the gold price falling
According to market data, gold reached an intraday low of 3,942 USD during early trading in Asia. At the time of the press, gold was trading near 3,956 USD, down 1.5% for the day.

WhatsApp began offering the ability to reserve usernames on June 30, so that its three billion users can claim their names before the feature is fully released later in 2026.

The Japanese yen has fallen to its weakest level since 1986, meaning Tokyo must defend the currency again.
The currency is down more than 2% this quarter. The latest drop is its fourth consecutive quarterly loss, marking the longest declining period since 2022, when the currency weakened for seven quarters in a row.
Tokyo signals readiness to act
On Tuesday, the yen hit a low of 162.4 per USD. At press time, it was at 162.1.
Meanwhile, Finance Minister Satsuki Katayama said that authorities are ready to act on currency changes at any time.

Tesla (TSLA) saw its biggest jump in more than a year on June 29. The stock rose by more than 8% after the company began rolling out a major software update to millions of older cars.
The reason was Full Self-Driving (FSD) v14 Lite. It is a new version of Tesla’s self-driving software for older cars that have not received any important update for more than 14 months.
Why did Tesla’s stock rise?

The U.S. Supreme Court ruled by a vote of 5–4 on June 29 that President Donald Trump may not fire Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook, at least not now. But the decision ensures that the Fed remains independent when it is most difficult for Bitcoin.
The end of the day means a tight Fed remains in place, one that has already removed expectations of rate cuts for 2026 and instead opened the door to increases. High interest rates continue to pressure assets that do not yield returns, for example Bitcoin. After Monday’s decision, one of the few quick opportunities for a softer board also disappeared.
