📚 The Pentagon is considering cutting all ties with $ANTHROPIC - with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth close to designating the company a supply-chain risk. This follows Anthropic's refusal to allow its AI model Claude to be used for mass-surveillance campaigns and fully autonomous military operations. The Pentagon argues it should be able to use Claude for all lawful purposes.
The standoff escalated after Claude was used in Operation Absolute Resolve in January - which led to the extraction of Venezuela's Nicolas Maduro. If designated a risk - Claude would be pulled from the Pentagon's classified systems.
