Losses hurt, but emotions cost much more.
This is my month in futures recap, and although the numbers speak for themselves, the real cause wasn’t the market. My biggest enemy was myself.
I made the mistake of letting emotions take control. After a loss I wanted to recover it quickly, opened positions without waiting for confirmations, moved the stop, traded on impulse, and let frustration replace my strategy. The result is reflected in this PnL.
Today I understand that trading isn’t about guessing the direction of price, but about controlling the mind. A good strategy loses value when fear, anxiety, or greed make the decisions.
I share this because I know many of us have been through the same. I’m not ashamed to show my losses; I see them as the cost of a lesson I don’t intend to repeat. My goal now isn’t to recover the money quickly, but to recover discipline.
Each trade is an opportunity to improve. The market will always give another entry, but staying calm and sticking to the plan depends only on me.

Order Blocks (OB) and Fair Value Gaps (FVG) operate within a structured framework. If you don’t read where the price is headed, every entry is just a coin toss. OBs aren’t magic zones: the price hunts them down to grab liquidity before moving on. Understanding this will keep you from stepping into traps.
When you see the price leaving two or more highs/lows at the same level, it’s no coincidence; it’s a liquidity magnet.
Practical example for Sell Liquidity (BL) in a bearish trend:
1. The price is making lower lows and lower highs.
2. A small consolidation forms. The price hits resistance, bounces, rises again, and creates a high nearly identical to the previous one.
3. There you have a liquidity pool. Traders see a "double top," placing their stops just above that level. Aggressive buyers place entry orders right at the breakout.
4. The market, on its next attempt, spikes up quickly, triggering all those orders (stops and entries) in a "false breakout," and then it crashes. That’s a Change of Character (CHoCH) or a liquidity sweep before continuing the trend.
Your job now is to train your eye. Practice this mantra: "The price doesn’t go toward a magic level, it goes where the orders are on the other side of the market to hunt them down."
