30 Days Introduction to Web3 (Lecture 1) What is Web3 Blockchain BTC
Many people first encounter these terms when they see headlines like 'Bitcoin Soars' and 'Web3 Entrepreneurship Wave' in the news.

But once someone seriously asks: What exactly are Bitcoin, blockchain, and Web3, and what is their relationship? Most people actually can't explain it clearly. This confusion is quite common because these three terms always appear together, but their meanings are not the same.

To understand this clearly, we can start with blockchain.

Blockchain is the underlying technology; it is essentially a new way of keeping accounts. In the past, when you made a transfer, the money did not directly move from your account to your friend's account, but the bank made two entries in its ledger on your behalf: it deducted one amount from you and added one amount to your friend. This ledger is controlled by the bank, and you must trust that its system won't make mistakes or be tampered with arbitrarily.
