On Wednesday, the Emirati fund MGX announced injecting 2 billion dollars into Binance, the leading global cryptocurrency exchange platform. The money was sent not in dollars, but in stablecoins, cryptocurrencies that replicate the value of official currencies. With this operation, the public investment fund, led by the brother of the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Tahnoon Ben Zayed Al Nahyan, takes a minority stake in the company.
