U.S. President Donald Trump said he is Iran’s “top assassination target” and addressed questions about why he was not returning on a new Air Force One.
According to Jin10, NewsNation reported that when Trump was asked at a press conference whether his decision not to take the new Air Force One was related to potential threats from Iran, he repeatedly said he was a target. He said, “I am the number one target on Iran’s assassination list.” He added, “I do not care, because I am doing my job,” and said he would rather be “number one on TikTok,” but that he was “number one” on the list of people to be killed.
When asked again why he was not flying back on the new Air Force One, Trump said the aircraft was flying to Europe and would go to one to three large bases where it could be shown to people. He said they would return “the usual way,” while the plane would be sent to several bases in Europe.
Trump said on Wednesday that he would take an older Air Force One from Turkey to the United Kingdom, an arrangement that he said had surprised observers.
