The v2.18 network upgrade, scheduled to be executed at block height 18,660,000, is primarily focused on critical security and stability improvements. A core component of this update is the burning of specific ASTRO tokens to address and rebalance Inter-Blockchain Communication (IBC) transfers that were affected by a prior network exploit.

The news has injected short-term volatility into LUNA's price. The live price of Terra (LUNA) is currently around $0.144, experiencing a sharp intraday drop of approximately 26.01%.
