🚨 TODAY IS THE LAST DAY BINANCE CAN OPERATE IN EUROPE WITHOUT A LICENSE — AND ITS FUTURE IS UP IN THE AIR

Today, June 30, 2026, the MiCA transitional period ends—the most important crypto regulation in the history of the European Union.

Starting tomorrow, July 1, only exchanges with full licensing can operate in the 27 EU countries. And the world’s largest exchange still doesn’t have that license.

Binance filed its application in Greece in January 2026. The Greek regulator is considering rejecting it. The company published a letter on June 16 where it neither confirms that it has the license nor announces leaving Europe. It only says “we will provide an updated update” and talks about “minimizing disruption for users.”

So what did CZ say?

Changpeng Zhao posted a direct critique of MiCA on X this week, warning that less liquidity means less protection for consumers. A disguised farewell from Europe—or public pressure for the regulator to reconsider. It’s unclear.

Which exchanges do have licenses for tomorrow?
OKX, Bybit, Coinbase, Kraken, Bitvavo, eToro, Crypto.com, and Bit2Me—the first Spanish exchange to obtain the license. They are the immediate winners if Binance is left out.

What if Binance loses Europe?

Millions of European users will need to move their funds to another platform. The volume that flows through Binance in Europe today is enormous. This capital doesn’t disappear: it migrates to licensed exchanges, creating a massive redistribution of liquidity in the European market.

Honestly, I still don't get how folks are raking it in with these campaigns. Sure, some people are making a living off this, but the PAY campaigns are off the table in LATAM now.

It's a bummer because there are users in their countries who relied on this as their daily bread.
