The latest survey from MV Capital, conducted with 76 investors managing funds ranging from $10M to $100M, has revealed many interesting perspectives:

1️⃣ BTC: the majority predict the price of BTC will peak this cycle at $100K - $150K

2️⃣ Timing of the peak: 45.7% believe the market will peak in the second half of 2025, while 31.1% think this will happen sooner, in the first half of next year

3️⃣ ETH: 1/3 of investors estimate the peak will fall between $3,000 - $5,000, while another 1/3 places their faith at $5,000 - $7,000

4️⃣ SOL: 23.2% are confident SOL will reach a peak price of $500 - $600, and up to 30% of investors expect the price to exceed $600

5️⃣ Worst performance: Gaming (27.5%) and Layer 2s (24.6%) are considered the sectors with the lowest performance

6️⃣ Most promising: Crypto x AI is seen as the dominant trend leading this cycle (42.9%), followed by DePIN (14.3%)

7️⃣ Altcoin season: 68.6% of investors agree that an altcoin season will occur, but only for a select few altcoins

8️⃣ Notable Layer 2: 75.4% believe Base will lead in trading volume and users

9️⃣ NFT: 58% predict that NFTs are unlikely to return to their golden age

After many delays, even considering a proposal to postpone until 2028, South Korea has decided to tax 20% on crypto profits (22% in total when including local taxes) from January 1, 2025, but there are some more lenient adjustments.

Specifically, investors will only have to pay tax if their profits exceed 50 million won (~$36K), instead of the old threshold of 2.5 million won (~$1.8K). This is seen as a "lenient" move by the government, aimed at minimizing the impact on most small investors – those who have already been struggling with market fluctuations.
