The digital currency $BTC surpasses 120,000 dollars and threatens to break its previous record.
At the time of writing this report, BTC is trading at 121,539 dollars, less than USD 2,000 from a new record.
The rise occurs in a context where the currency has been ranging between 119,000 dollars and USD 120,000 since the beginning of this week.

As seen in the previous graph, the price of BTC has approached USD 123,091, 📈 which is its latest all-time high, although temporarily unsuccessful due to immediate corrections that, as I mentioned, suggest profit-taking activity by investors.

Before you even choose between spot and futures, you must understand these core principles. Ignoring them is the fastest way to lose money.
1. Risk Management is NOT Optional, It’s Survival
This is the single most important point. The crypto market is exceptionally volatile.
Position Sizing: Never risk more than you can afford to lose on a single trade. A common rule is the 1% rule: never risk more than 1% of your total trading capital on any one trade.
Stop-Loss Orders: A pre-set order to automatically sell your asset if the price drops to a certain level. It’s your safety net to prevent a small loss from becoming a catastrophic one. Use them religiously.
Take-Profit Orders: A pre-set order to automatically sell your asset once it reaches a certain price. This locks in your profits and prevents greed from turning a winning trade into a losing one.
Risk-to-Reward Ratio (RRR): Before entering a trade, know your potential profit versus your potential loss. A good trade typically has a RRR of at least 1:2 or 1:3 (meaning you risk $100 to make$200 or $300).
2. The Psychology of Trading: Your Biggest Enemy is You
Emotional decisions are the ruin of most traders.
FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out): Buying an asset because it’s pumping rapidly, often at the peak, only to watch it crash. Stick to your plan.
FUD (Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt): Panic selling during a market dip because of negative news or social media hype. Do your own research (DYOR).
Revenge Trading: Trying to immediately win back money you just lost. This almost always leads to even bigger losses. Step away from the screen.
Greed: Holding a winning position for too long, hoping for even more gains, only to have the market reverse and erase your profits.
3. Do Your Own Research (DYOR)
Never take financial advice from social media influencers, friends, or random YouTube videos at face value.
Fundamental Analysis (FA): What is the project about? Research the technology, the team, the use case, the tokenomics (supply, distribution), and its real-world adoption potential.
Technical Analysis (TA): How is the asset behaving? Learn to read price charts, identify trends, and use indicators (like Moving Averages, RSI, MACD) to find potential entry and exit points. TA is about probabilities, not certainties.
4. Security is Paramount
You are your own bank in crypto, which means you are responsible for your own security.
Use Reputable Exchanges: Stick to well-known, high-volume exchanges with a track record of security (e.g., Binance, Coinbase, Kraken, Bybit).
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA): Enable 2FA on your exchange accounts and email. Use an app like Google Authenticator or Authy, not SMS.
