While the crowd chases "green candles" on charts, only one abbreviation is discussed in the closed clubs of Silicon Valley and Dubai.
This is not DeFi. This is not GameFi.

What is this?
This is a rebellion of science against bureaucracy.
Previously, to invent a drug, a scientist had to spend 10 years seeking grants from the state.

As per the announcement, they are looking to completely rebrand their venture capital branch that operates under the name Binance Labs, Changpeng Zhao will fully spearhead this initiative. Binance labs aims to roll out this rebranding by the end of 2025 In all business portfolios.
Binance Labs previously this year would begin to rebrand as they started to operate as a singular entity outside of the Binance exchange. This move was also able to delink them from the transactions.

CZ Returning to Duty
The arms responsibility does not include changing leadership roles which restrict him from actively participating in running the company and only allows him to invest. While leading Binance, the former owner had branded it Bingo Entertainment as they stated CZ would look into more projects in the future.

For his part, the sanctions he received for breaching the rules protecting US customers prohibited him from actively working, he bounced back however adding more time into focused investing While announcing plans to dilute the project’s interference more focus would be put on over-the-counter trades and monetizing secondary markets.

Binance Labs observed after the Year that it was exceptional having accounted for 46 projects during the year. Of these, 122 stemmed from direct investments, 14 from the BNB Chain-focused MVB, and 14 from the chain-agnostic Labs Incubation program. Most of these investments were made in both application and infrastructure-focused transactions as they were and are present in many sectors.
The company boasted a wide portfolio that included investments in fields as varied as artificial intelligence (AI), consumer applications (X2), gaming (X3), ZK technologies (X2), RWAs (X2), and DeFi (X10) initiatives.
Also getting more attention were two nascent sectors: decentralized science (DeSci) or the ‘Move’ system. The company has invested in primary platforms such as Solana, Ethereum, Berachain, Monad, and the Ethereum Layer 2 solutions. As per Binance Labs 20 percent of these funds went to BNB ecosystem projects.
The Future Awaits...
Looking ahead to 2025, the Binance Labs expect a vibrant future for the sub-sector. The incoming Trump administration’s bias view towards crypto is expected to create a more favorable regulatory atmosphere with draw in institutional investors and this can open gates for the sub-sector to grow.
Binance Labs has stated that in 2025, they will focus on blockchain/crypto, AI, biotechnology, and innovation across all three domains. In addition, other previously underserved industries like gaming and privacy concerns may realize their full production potential turnaround.
