Putin Signals Interest in Negotiating End to Ukraine Conflict Amid Fragile CeasefireIn a significant diplomatic signal, Russian President Vladimir Putin has stated that he believes the conflict in Ukraine is “coming to an end.” These remarks follow a highly unusual Victory Day celebration in Moscow, where the traditional display of military hardware was entirely absent, replaced by heavy security and widespread internet outages as Russia continues to face long-range drone and missile threats. Despite the US-brokered three-day ceasefire currently in effect, the situation on the ground remains volatile. Both Moscow and Kyiv have accused the other of violating the truce, with local authorities reporting ongoing artillery exchanges and drone strikes across multiple regions, including Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, and Belgorod. Putin suggested a willingness to negotiate new security arrangements for Europe, specifically naming former German Chancellor Gerhard Schröder as his preferred diplomatic partner. This proposal is expected to face immediate and deep skepticism within the European Union and Ukraine, given Schröder’s well-documented history of close business ties with the Kremlin and his continued support for the Russian leader despite the ongoing invasion. On the diplomatic front, the path forward remains opaque. Putin reiterated that he would only meet with Volodymyr Zelenskyy once all conditions for a peace agreement are finalized, rather than as a step in the negotiation process itself. Meanwhile, Zelenskyy has used the current period to emphasize Ukraine’s European identity, observing Europe Day and reaffirming the nation's position within the "European family." With both armies showing signs of exhaustion and frontlines largely stagnant, the coming days will serve as a test of whether these diplomatic overtures represent a genuine shift in policy or merely a tactical pause in one of Europe’s most devastating conflicts. #RussiaUkraineWar #Putin #Geopolitics #Ceasefire #InternationalRelations $STABLE {future}(STABLEUSDT) $BEAT {future}(BEATUSDT) $PIEVERSE {future}(PIEVERSEUSDT)

Russia and Ukraine Trade Ceasefire Violation Claims as Putin Signals War is ‘Winding Down’ The three-day ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine faces a fragile reality, with both sides trading accusations of violations even as the intensity of the conflict has notably slowed. While major strategic strikes have been absent, local authorities in both nations report ongoing drone and artillery exchanges, underscoring the deep distrust that persists on the ground. In Moscow, President Vladimir Putin struck a defiant yet transitionary tone. Hours after overseeing a drastically scaled-back Victory Day parade—which notably excluded the traditional display of heavy armour and was marked by heavy security and internet blackouts—Putin suggested to reporters that the conflict is “coming to an end.” The Russian president also signalled a willingness to negotiate new European security arrangements, naming former German Chancellor Gerhard Schröder as his preferred diplomatic partner. This suggestion is expected to face significant skepticism among European allies, given Schröder’s history of close business ties to the Kremlin and his controversial stance on the conflict. Meanwhile, the diplomatic track regarding the ceasefire’s ancillary agreements appears stagnant. Putin stated that Moscow has yet to receive any concrete proposals from Kyiv regarding the prisoner swap that was intended to accompany the truce. As the ceasefire period continues, the primary takeaway is the sharp contrast between the reduced military activity on the frontlines and the complexity of the diplomatic signals coming from the Kremlin. With the war in its fourth year, the path to a lasting peace remains fraught with mutual accusations and significant political hurdles. #RussiaUkraineWar #Ceasefire #Geopolitics #Putin #Ukraine $ICP {spot}(ICPUSDT) $OPEN {spot}(OPENUSDT) $FIL {spot}(FILUSDT)

Ukraine and Russia Agree to Three-Day Ceasefire as Zelenskyy Mocks Victory Day Preparations Volodymyr Zelenskyy has taken a wry approach to Russia’s upcoming Victory Day events by issuing a decree that formally “permits” the military parade in Moscow while declaring Red Square off-limits for any Ukrainian strikes. The tongue-in-cheek announcement coincides with confirmation from both sides and US President Donald Trump of a temporary three-day ceasefire running from May 9 to 11. Despite the truce reports of fighting continue. Zelenskyy visited frontline positions in south-eastern Ukraine where he noted Russian assaults had not eased. Russian sources claimed capture of a village in Donetsk while Ukrainian forces reported strikes on oil infrastructure deep inside Russia including a Lukoil refinery in Perm. A large fire broke out in the Chornobyl exclusion zone after a drone crash though radiation levels remained normal. Ukraine’s air force highlighted a critical shortage of air defence missiles after months of intense Russian attacks on energy infrastructure. The country is struggling to protect smaller substations with limited resources stretched further by global demands on systems such as Patriot missiles. The World Health Organization meanwhile recorded over 3,000 attacks on Ukrainian healthcare facilities since the full-scale invasion began underlining the humanitarian toll. Zelenskyy indicated that American envoys from the Trump administration are expected in Ukraine soon to discuss prisoner exchanges and potential security guarantees for any future peace agreement. These developments come as both sides continue to trade accusations and maintain pressure through targeted actions even during the brief pause in hostilities. The coming days will test whether the ceasefire holds and if diplomatic momentum can be sustained beyond the symbolic Victory Day period. #RussiaUkraineWar #Ceasefire #Zelenskyy #VictoryDay #InternationalRelations $REZ {spot}(REZUSDT) $VANA {spot}(VANAUSDT) $PROM {spot}(PROMUSDT)

🚨BREAKING: Trump Announces 3-Day Ceasefire in Russia-Ukraine War 🚨 A potential de-escalation is on the horizon. President Donald Trump has just announced a three-day ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine, coinciding with Victory Day celebrations. Here is what we know so far: #The Window:** The truce is set to run from Saturday, May 9, to Monday, May 11. 🤝 The Swap: The deal includes a significant exchange of 1,000 prisoners of war from each side. ✅ The Confirmation: Both Kyiv and the Kremlin have verified the agreement following a call between Putin and Trump. Trump posted on Truth Social that this could be the "beginning of the end" of the deadly conflict, adding that talks are "getting closer and closer every day." While this is a major diplomatic breakthrough, it arrives as peace negotiations have stalled over the Donetsk region. Cease-Fire Uncertainty Grows as U.S. Reviews Iran’s Latest Proposal The fragile cease-fire between the United States and Iran remains uncertain as Donald Trump signals skepticism over Tehran’s latest diplomatic offer. While confirming that he is reviewing the proposal, Trump indicated that he “can’t imagine” it meeting U.S. expectations, highlighting ongoing tensions despite continued negotiations. The latest proposal, reportedly delivered through intermediaries, includes potential steps such as reopening the strategically critical Strait of Hormuz and easing immediate preconditions for talks. However, key disagreements persist, particularly around Iran’s nuclear program, which remains a central sticking point in negotiations. Iranian officials, including Kazem Gharibabadi, have emphasized that the path forward depends on Washington’s willingness to choose diplomacy over confrontation, while also signaling readiness to respond if hostilities resume. With both sides maintaining firm positions, the situation reflects a delicate balance between diplomacy and escalation. The coming days are likely to be critical in determining whether negotiations can progress toward a lasting agreement or risk renewed conflict in an already volatile region. #USIran #Geopolitics #Ceasefire #MiddleEast #Diplomacy $WLFI {spot}(WLFIUSDT) $ASTER {spot}(ASTERUSDT) $VIRTUAL {spot}(VIRTUALUSDT)

🇮🇱🚨Ex-Israeli PM Slams Netanyahu As Ceasefire Talks With Hamas Advance💥👀 AdvanceAccording to Mr Olmert, Hamas no longer presents a meaningful military threat, "Israel has completely eradicated and destroyed the military capacity of Hamas... it does not pose any significant threat to the state of Israel." Israel and Hamas resumed ceasefire and hostage-release negotiations on Sunday, with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio saying talks are "closer" than they've been in some time. However, Rubio acknowledged that similar optimism has faded in previous rounds. As part of the latest proposal, Hamas has agreed to release 10 hostages in exchange for a 60-day ceasefire window, during which efforts toward a permanent truce would continue. But deep divisions remain over what a final agreement would look like. Former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, in an interview with NDTV, stated bluntly, "Hamas will not release all the hostages, which is the only asset they still hold" unless it is guaranteed that the war is finished. He emphasised that Israel would not stop fighting unless measures are in place to ensure Hamas no longer holds a dominant position in Gaza. "There is still a disagreement about the final terms," Mr Olmert explained, adding that Hamas demands a full end to the war and Israeli withdrawal from Gaza, while Israel insists on the total elimination of Hamas as a power structure. He also raised the question of American influence, specifically former US President Donald Trump's ability to sway Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. He said that there is a big question regarding to what extent Mr Trump can use his "enormous influence" on Mr Netanyahu to "force him" to end the war and bring an agreement that will guarantee no return of hostilities. He added, "Who can understand exactly what President Trump is up for?" Nonetheless, Mr Olmert added, "Trump has the power and authority to force Netanyahu to abide by his demands, and he should have exercised his political capital over Netanyahu long ago." Domestically, Mr Olmert described a growing demand within Israel for a resolution. "The majority of Israelis want the war to end today. They want the hostages to end today. So looking at it from the perspective of President Trump, I think he has got the most support of most of the Israelis to exercise his authority and force the Israeli Prime Minister to abide by his demands." Highlighting the human toll, Mr Olmert did not hold back, "60,000 Palestinians were killed, and thousands of Palestinian children pay this terrible price for the war which started by Hamas." He suggested a shift in priorities, "At this point now it is more important to bring back the hostages rather than to continue what appears to be a war without a specific objective that can be achieved." According to Mr Olmert, Hamas no longer presents a meaningful military threat, "Israel has completely eradicated and destroyed the military capacity of Hamas... it does not pose any significant threat to the state of Israel." He warned that prolonging the war could prove costlier than necessary and that continuing this military operation is not worth the cost of possibly losing the lives of so many soldiers and the 50 Israeli hostages which are still held by Hamas. Asked about Mr Trump's idea of turning Gaza into the "French Riviera of the Middle East," Olmert responded firmly, "I'm not in favour of the deportation of Palestinians from Gaza. Gaza is Palestinian, and the Palestinians live in Gaza, and they ought to live in Gaza." He said the priority should be preventing future control of Gaza by terrorist groups. Mr Olmert also criticised Mr Netanyahu's political legitimacy, "Although Prime Minister Netanyahu today still holds a technical majority in parliament, its members were elected almost three years ago. It does not reflect the mood and the attitude of the majority of Israelis at this point." He cited polling trends and said that in all the polls which were run in Israel, more than 60 percent of Israelis say that they do not trust Mr Netanyahu and do not support him. He reminded, "I think there is a different voice coming from Israel, a voice of compassion, a voice of compromise, a voice of tolerance, and a voice of a desire for ending the hostilities and establishing a basis for political cooperation with the Palestinians for a resolution of the historical conflict. And Netanyahu is certainly not someone that can be part of it. He will have to go down, and he will go down, and I hope he will go down soon." #ArbitrageTradingStrategy #Ceasefire #USCryptoWeek
