🔥A hacker returns funds after exploiting the protocol 👀
Decided
#Hacker to return funds from a compromised protocol. According to the Renegade.fi protocol team, a white hat hacker returned around $190,000 after manipulating the protocol's security. This return was made based on specific instructions.
A new attack on the protocol. On Sunday, the on-chain data analytics platform Blockaid indicated an exploit worth $209,000. The hacker injected malicious logic into a faulty function linked to the dark pool V1 of
#Arbitrum to withdraw 27 ERC-20 tokens.
After the Renegade team caught wind of this, they sent a message on-chain to the hacker. In this message, they requested the hacker to return 90% of the funds and keep the remaining 10% as a “white hat” reward to avoid charges.
According to data from the block explorer, within 45 minutes the hacker returned the funds and stated that they had exploited the protocol to protect users
#defi . Additionally, they also requested Renegade to enhance its security level.
