Have you ever been scammed in the world of Cryptocurrency?
Today I learned an expensive lesson from the crypto world, and hopefully, this can save you too.
I received a DM from an American on Telegram. They said there was a new token, Satsuma, just listed, still cheap, with great potential.
At first, I was hesitant, but since I had $3 left from a successful futures position I saved yesterday, I thought:
"Well, why not, let's try it, who knows it might be profitable."
I bought it.
The token immediately rose by over 500%++
I was happy…
Until I tried to swap it for USDT — and the result?
❌ Swap failed. Failed repeatedly.
After checking:
Token not verified
No audit
Cannot be sold (honeypot)
For sure, I was scammed.
The perpetrator is not just a smart contract, but a real person who trapped me using DM.
This is the reality in the crypto world. Scams aren't just through code, but also through social interactions.
Now I understand better:
✅ Don't trust random DMs
✅ Don't buy tokens that cannot be verified for their reputation
✅ Always check on honeypot.is or tokensniffer
$3 lost, but replaced with sharper survival instincts.
It's not about the $3, the issue is that it's funds that could have been better utilized.
I'm sharing this so there won't be any other victims.
Don't trust FOMO sent by strangers via DM. It's a Batman trap version of blockchain.
