Prophet Jesus (peace be upon him) was a chosen prophet of Allah. Allah Almighty granted him special miracles so that people could recognize Allah's power and believe. One day, Prophet Jesus (peace be upon him) was playing with a few children. He shaped a bird out of the earth's clay. The bird was completely still, just like an ordinary clay toy.
Then, by Allah's command, Prophet Jesus (peace be upon him) blew on the clay bird and said:
> “Fly by Allah's command!”
Immediately, by Allah's command, the clay bird came to life and flew towards the sky, fluttering. The children watching this scene were astonished and ran to tell their parents that Jesus (peace be upon him) had brought the clay bird to life.
This news spread throughout the area. Some people came to believe and said that this is a true prophet of Allah, as no ordinary human can perform such a miracle. But some stubborn and obstinate people still did not believe and started to envy.
Allah Almighty mentioned this miracle in the Quran:
> “I create for you from clay the form of a bird; then I blow into it, and it becomes a living bird by Allah's command.” (Surah Aal Imran: 49)
