In northern Russia, in the Murmansk region, there is a place that seems completely normal: abandoned buildings, deteriorated concrete, and a small rusty metal cap screwed into the ground.
Nothing spectacular at first glance.
But the incredible thing is what lies beneath.
Right under that cap lies the deepest hole humanity has ever drilled into the Earth: the legendary Kola Superdeep Borehole.
