China has accelerated construction on Pakistan's Mohmand Dam, with concrete filling now officially underway a major milestone in the project's timeline.

The development marks a significant phase of progress for this national flagship hydropower project located in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Under construction since 2019 by the state-owned China Energy Engineering Corporation, the dam was initially slated for completion in 2026.
