I am working on several proven (by different teams) testnets with multiple accounts that have previously made payments to their assistants. On my home PC, laptop, and smartphone. I install several browser or desktop nodes (they run a little bit at a time. No investments. The browser node is installed as a Chrome extension and gradually consumes your internet traffic approximately 1-2%. With 6-8 nodes at a 100Mbps connection, it is not noticeable while watching movies and working on the PC.

A testnet or test network is the so-called 'draft version' of a future or already existing project. Testnet refers to the testing of cryptocurrency projects, for which users can receive rewards 'drops' for their participation.
