CNN, citing a high-ranking Iranian official, has confirmed that Tehran is considering allowing certain oil tankers to pass through the Strait of Hormuz, but on one condition: the cargo trade must be conducted exclusively in Chinese Yuan (CNY)!
Not in Dollars... not in Euros... only in Yuan!

🇺🇸 The End of the 52-Year American Empire (The Petrodollar System)
In 1974, Saudi Arabia reached an agreement to sell its oil exclusively in "Dollars" in exchange for U.S. military protection. That day, the 'Petrodollar' was born, and for the last 52 years, global energy trade has operated on this foundation.
Every barrel of oil in the world is priced in Dollars. Every country’s central bank must maintain Dollar reserves because the currency is mandatory for buying oil. This is the very system upon which the global financial hegemony of the United States stands. By proposing to replace the Dollar with the Yuan at the Gulf’s most critical chokepoint, Iran has struck at the heart of this dominance!
🇨🇳 China’s Silent Master Plan (CIPS & Shadow Fleet)
China is already running this model successfully:
Trade Dominance: 80% to 90% of Iranian oil heading to China is purchased in Yuan or through China's own Cross-Border Interbank Payment System (CIPS). (Note: In 2025, CIPS processed 175 trillion Yuan—approx. $24.5 trillion—a 43% increase from the previous year!)
The Shadow Fleet: Since February 28, while ships from the rest of the world have been stuck or burning in Hormuz, Iran’s 'Shadow Fleet'—under IRGC security—has quietly delivered between 11.7 million and 16.5 million barrels of oil to China.
The Divide: China pays in Yuan. Chinese tankers move freely. The rest of the world is either burning or forced to take the long route.
🧮 A Bifurcated Market and "Dual-Priced" Oil
This conflict was initiated to forcibly open Hormuz. Instead, it is opening "selectively" on Iranian terms and Chinese currency. While the U.S. proved it can strike islands, Iran has proved it holds the keys to the passage.
We are now seeing the emergence of a bifurcated oil market:
Yuan-based Oil: For China and BRICS nations, available at an Iranian discount ($9 to $12 cheaper than Brent).
Dollar-based Oil: For the West, burdened by 'War Premiums' and expensive insurance.
One commodity, two prices. One maritime route, two currencies. One barrel, two systems! The very division the Dollar was designed to control is being accelerated by this conflict.
