QATAR AIMING TO BECOME A FINANCIAL CENTER WITH NEW DIGITAL ASSET FRAMEWORK‼️
Qatar Financial Center (QFC) has introduced a regulatory framework for digital assets in a bid to attract global firms and position itself as a financial centre. The framework covers a range of digital assets, including cryptocurrencies, and sets standards for custody, anti-money laundering measures and cybersecurity.
“This framework is in line with Qatar’s vision to be a regional leader in financial innovation,” said QFC CEO Yousuf Mohamed Al-Jaida. Experts believe the move will boost investor confidence and support the growth of blockchain technology in Qatar.
