Brazil will further diversify its partnerships to overcome the crisis created by Trump.

During his first terms in office, Lula had already changed the direction of Brazilian international trade with what became known as "South-South trade". We increased exports to China, African, Arab and Middle Eastern countries. This culminated in the creation of Mercosur, BRICS, G20 and the beginning of attempts to reach an agreement with the EU, Canada and Mexico.

These actions taken by Lula 20 years ago significantly reduced Brazil's dependence on the US and its successive economic crises. They also more than doubled our trade balance in two decades.

So, we are talking about a government that has experience and successful stories of conquering new markets and commercial partnerships. Without experimentation and guesswork, as Trump does.
