Today would have been Hal Finney's 69th birthday.

This American programmer was at the origins of cryptocurrency, was the first user of the coin, the first to run a Bitcoin node on his computer, and received the first transaction of 10 BTC from Satoshi Nakamoto himself (many believe he is Satoshi Nakamoto).

Finney did not live to see our days — he passed away on August 28, 2014, bequeathing before his death to freeze his body for resurrection in the future, when scientists find a way to cure diseases.

The world has not yet figured out how to resurrect Finney, but Bitcoin has already gone above $100,000.
