Twitter pfps were the first digital real estate that gave NFTs a place for us to flex. Punk w/ fidenza bg… it gave you instant status. That led to the last NFT bull run. Twitter was on the right track with verified NFT pfps, tipping, etc. But then the X rebrand came along and the roadmap became less clear. Now enter Telegram. It’s what we all use as the primary messaging app in thjs space. What’s dope is that crypto is embedded, which enables an ecosystem of mini apps, NFT gifts and stickers, and games. And it reaches 1b users. That’s 2x compared to X. X still has the edge in viral broadcast. TG is built for deep communities but the lines are blurring. X now has private chats. TG is scaling public channels. Pfps were just the start. Imagine your entire chat screen as digital real estate. I think that’s where we’re headed.
