Studies show that pausing after losses helps traders regain objectivity, reset their mindset, and avoid impulsive decisions. Build in “cool-off” periods whenever you hit a drawdown threshold; sometimes the best trade is no trade at all. I sometimes make silly mistakes and get thrown off by erratic candle movements, so stepping away and taking a break really helps me reset my mindset.
