Google has removed nearly 11,000 YouTube channels and other accounts in Q2 2025 linked to state-backed propaganda campaigns from China, Russia, and other countries.
Over 7,700 of these channels were tied to China, promoting the People’s Republic, commenting on U.S. foreign policy in Chinese and English. More than 2,000 channels connected to Russia spread pro-Kremlin content criticizing Ukraine, NATO, and the West in various languages.
