Jupiter Announces Airdrop Date that Will Offer Free Tokens to One Million Solana Users; Hereโs How to Win
Nearly one million Solana wallets will be able to claim the JUP token at the end of this month via airdrop; a new memecoin will also be launched
The Solana-based decentralized finance (DeFi) aggregator, Jupiter, has officially marked the date and time for the launch of its anticipated token airdrop and will also use its platform to launch a new memecoin before that.
The launch, scheduled to deliver one billion newly minted JUP tokens into the wallets of users of the Solana DeFi ecosystem, will start on January 31st at 10:00 a.m. EST, according to an announcement made on Monday (15th) by the pseudonymous founder of Jupiter, Meow.
Who can win the JUP airdrop?
The platform launched a tool that allows users to check the amount of JUP they will receive when the airdrop is released.
All Jupiter users will receive at least 200 JUPs, and those who held assets worth $10 on the platform or made at least 10 transactions before March 2022 will receive an additional 500 JUPs.
Jupiter is one of the largest DeFi projects developed on Solana. As a swap aggregator, the platform advises users on the best rates when trading tokens.
The Jupiter debut airdrop at the end of this month constitutes just the first phase of an extended token distribution roadmap. The project says it will launch three additional community airdrops, each consisting of 1 billion JUP, on future dates to be announced.
