MetaMask is preparing to launch its mUSD stablecoin on Ethereum and Linea later this year

#MetaMask plans to roll out its stablecoin, mUSD, on #Ethereum and #Linea later this year. The token will be issued by Stripe-owned #Bridge and backed by #M0 . mUSD will be backed 1:1 by “high-quality, highly liquid dollar-equivalent assets,” offering real-time transparency and cross-chain composability through M0’s liquidity network.

At launch, users will be able to on-ramp, store, swap, transfer, and bridge mUSD directly within MetaMask. By year-end, the firm also aims to enable spending through the MetaMask Card at merchants that accept Mastercard.
