It’s funny how people are happy about openning of $AMZN futures and other 💩 Like they are about to join company’s shares onwners.
I absolutely do not share the euphoria.
Just friendly reminder:
- AMZN futures are synthetic perpetual contracts, not real stock futures.
- They are not traded on a regulated stock or derivatives exchange.
- Purchases and sales do not affect the real price of Amazon stock
- There is no ownership of Amazon shares, no delivery, no shareholder rights, no dividends.
- The price is referenced from external markets (e.g., NASDAQ), but the market is fully internal here.
- Platform acts as market operator, rule-setter, and counterparty infrastructure.
- There is no independent clearing house and no traditional exchange-level regulatory oversight.
- This is even more risky than trading with futures on crypto where price at least resutl of real trading on platform.
It’s more reasonable would be send your money to online casino and push SPIN button than using such instruments.
Of course IMHO, however you all are adults and it is up to you to choose way how to lost your investments. 😄
