After graduating from university, I had almost completely forgotten what I learned in the CET-4 exam.
Although I have been working in the crypto industry, I have never truly broken through in English.
Until I attended BBW 2025.
When I was on site, I felt the gap so intuitively for the first time. Many binancers communicate in English with almost no pressure, their logic is clear and their expressions are natural.
This includes the top sister, but what shocked me even more is that last year the top sister was still 'half in English', but this year she communicated entirely in English. Even people at this level are continuously improving themselves, so we, who are still just starting out, have even less reason to remain stagnant.
At that moment I realized:
Language is not an added bonus, but a fundamental skill in the industry.
I stumbled upon the 'English Native Moment' and signed up directly.
Later, I came across the recruitment for the 'English Native Moment' experience posted by Gary, and I filled out the information almost without hesitation.
Honestly, I didn't think I could pass at first. Until later I received a message from Teacher Gunnaa on Telegram, that moment was really exciting.
Two things that awakened me after the first class.
I am a designer working in the crypto industry, and I usually work at a fast pace. However, this experience hit me directly. Teacher Gunnaa repeatedly emphasized two things:
1. Speaking up is more important than being right.
Don’t wait for your grammar to be perfect before you speak. Language is practiced, not just thought.
2. Record your day in English every day.
Even if it’s just a few sentences. Because when you start recording life in English, your brain will slowly build an 'English thinking pathway' rather than translating and then expressing. These two suggestions sound simple, but they actually change the way you think.
The first class was last Tuesday, and now it has just been a week. Although I’m sharing a bit late, I still want to take this as a starting point.
I decided to conduct a long-term experiment:
Don't wait until your English is perfect to speak.
Record your life in English every day.
Treat 'English thinking' as a skill that can be trained.
The goal is not to become an English master,
but to not be blocked from communication because of language in a globalized industry. This is my record for the first week. I will continue to update to see one:
For a crypto designer with ordinary English skills and a busy work schedule, can I gradually reach the day when I can express myself directly in English without translation?
