1. USDC will surpass USDT in volume (regulation is pressuring Tether)

2. Stablecoins with yields from major banks will emerge

3. China will launch a digital yuan for international settlements

Medium-term (2-3 years):

• CBDC + private stablecoins = hybrid system

• SWIFT will lose its monopoly on cross-border payments

• 10% of global trade will be in stablecoins

Risks:

Strict regulation in the US or a ban on income-generating stablecoins could break everything.
