Looking to the future, Fogo's development direction will evolve along a path that optimizes technical performance to the extreme, while deeply integrating ecological applications and building value capture capabilities. In the short term, Fogo's core task is to consolidate its technological moat as a 'high-performance transaction-specific chain.' This includes continuously optimizing the Firedancer-based unified client architecture to ensure that it can replicate the test network's peak throughput of 136,000 TPS in the mainnet environment. At the same time, through its innovative 'multi-local consensus' mechanism, it continuously reduces the collaborative latency of global nodes, providing infrastructure support for attracting more latency-sensitive applications. The focus of development in this stage is to prove that its architecture remains stable and efficient under real and sustained loads, thereby dispelling institutional users' doubts about the reliability of the on-chain environment.
In the medium to long term, Fogo's future development will highly depend on the prosperity of its ecosystem. Currently, Fogo has laid out plans in three major directions: RWA tokenization, DePIN, and on-chain perpetual contracts, natively integrating core applications like Pyth oracle and Ambient Finance. The key in the future lies in whether it can attract more external developers to build innovative financial applications based on its high-performance characteristics, forming a complete closed loop from 'infrastructure' to 'core applications' to 'tool services.' SVM compatibility plays an important role in this process, allowing mature applications in the Solana ecosystem to migrate here at a very low cost, bringing considerable ecological migration dividends to Fogo. In addition, the project's community-driven adjustments to the token economic model, such as canceling pre-sales and airdropping tokens, aim to establish a long-term, loyal user community to provide endogenous motivation for the self-evolution of the ecosystem.
However, this development path is not without challenges. The challenges Fogo faces in the future cannot be ignored. On one hand, the competition in the high-performance public chain track has become intense, with other emerging Layer 1s like Monad also making strides in low-latency scenarios, and Fogo needs to continue innovating to maintain its differentiated advantage. On the other hand, how to overcome regulatory uncertainties and truly lower the entry barriers for traditional financial institutions will determine whether it can realize its vision of RWA tokenization. From the perspective of funding support, Fogo has raised a total of $20.5 million through multiple rounds of financing, providing valuable 'ammunition' for its technological research and ecological incubation. Overall, Fogo's future lies in its ability to utilize the current technological window period to translate performance advantages into real user adoption and asset scale, evolving from a technology-oriented Layer 1 project into a core financial infrastructure that supports large-scale, high-value transactions.
