I almost sent my BTC to scammers. I stopped at the last moment…
I was sitting in the evening, scrolling through the feed, and I see a post: 'Bitcoin giveaway in honor of the project's anniversary. Send 0.001 BTC — get back 0.002 BTC.' Under the post, a bunch of comments: 'It works!', 'Thank you, the payment came', 'The best promotion.'
Everything looked very real. Logos, a normal website, live comments. I even opened my wallet and looked at the balance.
