Midnight is a new project within the Cardano ecosystem, a special blockchain network that focuses on privacy. The Midnight project officially launched in August 2025, with the beginning of the NIGHT token distribution via the “Glacier Drop” airdrop. This airdrop is intended for eligible holders of ADA, BTC, ETH, XRP, and other cryptocurrencies, offering them the opportunity to claim free NIGHT tokens. The launch marks the beginning of a private and interoperable ecosystem within Cardano, with a claim process open for 60 days and tokens being released gradually after the Midnight mainnet launch.
