The integration with DID (Decentralized Identifier) is an important development direction in the fields of Web3 and Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI).
The essence of World ID: World ID is a privacy-first decentralized identity protocol that establishes 'Proof of Human' through Orb iris scanning. After verification, the iris data is converted into encrypted irreversible zero-knowledge proofs (ZKPs) stored on the user's device without retaining the original biometric features. Users can anonymously prove 'I am a real person and unique' without disclosing personal information such as name or email. This aligns with the principles of SSI: users have complete control over their identity (personal custody), supporting multiple wallets and authenticators, and achieving multi-chain interoperability through World Chain (its own Ethereum Layer 2).
