My True Rant After 'Running Naked' on Fogo Mainnet for a Week
I suddenly realized that our generation of on-chain natives may have really been PUA'd by Ethereum's kind of 'slow life' for too long. Last week, I moved most of my activity funds from Solana to Fogo, initially just wanting to catch a wave of liquidity incentives in the early stages of the mainnet, but the actual experience made me feel a dizzying sensation similar to switching from dial-up internet to fiber optics. The 40 milliseconds block time claimed by Fogo is just a cold number in the white paper, but when you actually open its native DEX and watch orders get instantly filled in milliseconds, you will understand why these madmen dare to directly challenge Solana. This SVM (Solana Virtual Machine) deeply modified based on the Firedancer architecture has indeed broken through the ceiling of public chain performance on a physical level.
