🔹 Step-by-step guide
1. Choosing a platform for purchase
The easiest way to buy ETH is on a cryptocurrency exchange or in a mobile app.
Popular options: Binance, WhiteBIT, Kraken, Coinbase.
In Ukraine, services still operate: Kuna, Trustee Wallet, Binance P2P.
2. Registration and verification
You create an account (e-mail, password).
You go through KYC (identity verification: photo of passport/ID card, selfie).
This is mandatory for removing limits and protecting your account.
3. Fund your account
There are several options:
By card (Visa/Mastercard) – fast, but with a fee of 1–3%.
P2P (peer-to-peer) – you buy directly from people for hryvnias through the exchange (usually without fees).
Bank transfer – depends on the platform.
4. Purchase of Ethereum
On the exchange you find a pair: ETH/USDT (or ETH/UAH, if available).
If you funded your account in hryvnias → first buy USDT (Tether), and then exchange USDT for ETH.
You choose:
Market order – instant purchase at market price.
Limit order – you set the price and wait for someone to sell.
5. Storage
On the exchange – convenient, but less secure (risk of hacks).
In your own wallet (recommended):
Mobile wallets: MetaMask, Trust Wallet.
Hardware wallets: Ledger, Trezor (the safest).
6. Withdrawal of ETH
If you want to hold for a long time – transfer from the exchange to your own wallet (MetaMask or Trust Wallet).
Always check the wallet address before transferring.
⚠️ Important tips
Never share your seed phrases with anyone (12–24 words).
Check the fees (Ethereum has gas fees, sometimes high).
For the first time, you can buy a small amount (for example, 20–50$) to practice.
