What is Pyth Network?
Pyth Network is a decentralized oracle specifically designed for financial applications.
· The role of the oracle: The blockchain itself is a closed system and cannot directly access off-chain (real-world) data. An oracle serves as a "data bridge," responsible for safely and reliably transmitting real-world data (such as cryptocurrency prices, stock prices, commodity prices, etc.) to the blockchain for use by smart contracts.
· Features of Pyth: Unlike traditional oracles (such as Chainlink) that obtain data from exchanges, Pyth aggregates first-hand real-time market data directly from the sources—including top exchanges, market makers, and financial service providers (like Jane Street, Binance, OKX, Jump Trading, etc.). These data providers publish their price data directly to Pythnet (Pyth's dedicated application chain), which is then weighted and aggregated before being transmitted across other blockchain networks (such as Solana, Ethereum, Aptos, Sui, etc.).
In simple terms: Pyth Network is an infrastructure that provides high-speed, high-precision, and highly reliable financial data for DeFi (Decentralized Finance).#PythRoadmapand $PYTH @Pyth Network
