Binance Coin (abbreviated as BNB) is the platform token issued by Binance Exchange in the blockchain finance sector in 2017. Binance Exchange announced the overall migration out of China in January 2018, and moved its headquarters to Malta in March of the same year. In October 2018, Binance founder Zhao Changpeng sparked controversy on social media after users inquired whether it supported Bitcoin trading through Alipay and WeChat Pay, later clarifying that there was no official cooperation with either. In November of the same year, Binance's official Weibo account was banned. In June 2022, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission launched an investigation into whether BNB was considered a security at the time of its issuance in 2017 #BNBATH $BNB
