The photo of the Tehran sky -Iran today is truly the most concerning thing right now. Just to let you know, this is not simply rain or smoke. In that atmosphere, there are toxic gases generated from oil fires due to the attacks. What is falling down is actually tiny droplets of crude oil. The acid rain from this phenomenon is even more acidic than white vinegar, and it is pouring down on humans, trees, wildlife, stray animals... while also polluting all water sources.
The question is, at what stage is the Iranian harvest? Because if the land has been contaminated like this, then before replanting, at least about 60 cm of the topsoil must be removed. As for the crops that are currently growing, they are almost impossible to harvest.
This also means there will be no seeds for the next growing season.
Environmental damage can last for many generations, a humanitarian disaster is imminent, and everything is far from over. This is the kind of horrific scenario that could lead to large-scale famine.
