After five years of struggling in the cryptocurrency world, I have transformed from a complete novice into a seasoned player who can earn stable profits. Along the way, I've fallen into more traps than I've made money. Today, I want to share my experiences and lessons, hoping they will help newcomers. First, never use leverage. Leverage is a wealth destroyer; I can't say this enough. The cryptocurrency market trades 24 hours, and the volatility is already high, and leverage only amplifies fear and greed. Many people start by making a lot of money, but eventually, they get liquidated and lose everything, with no chance of recovering their losses. Second, only buy mainstream coins. BTC, ETH, and BNB are enough; those so-called hundredfold or thousandfold coins are 99% traps. Ponzi schemes, shitcoins, and air coins should not even be looked at. Ponzi schemes will run away, shitcoins will go to zero, and air coins are just air. Third, dollar-cost averaging is the way to go. Take a portion of your monthly salary to invest in BTC regularly, regardless of price fluctuations; in a few years, you'll thank your current self. I started dollar-cost averaging in 2019, went through 312, went through 519, and now my returns are very high. Fourth, the private key is your lifeline. Never store your private key online; a hardware wallet is the best solution. I know more than one person who lost everything because their private key was stolen; it's a bloody lesson. Fifth, look at the market less and do more. Watching the market too frequently can lead to excessive trading losses; it's better to spend your time improving yourself. Sixth, diversify your investments. Don’t put all your eggs in one basket; allocate several mainstream coins. Seventh, maintain a good mindset. Price fluctuations are normal; the cryptocurrency world is a training ground for your mindset. All the above lessons have been bought with real money; newcomers must remember this.
