The core asset of the entire network is $NIGHT

The transactions and smart contract executions on the network consume DUST, rather than directly consuming NIGHT. In simple terms: holding NIGHT essentially means holding the production capacity of network resources.
One change brought about by this structure is that many applications, if they hold a certain amount of NIGHT, can continuously generate DUST and even help users bear transaction costs. For users, the experience will be more like Web2 — using applications without needing to buy Gas first.
