The other day, before going out, I looked at my house for a moment longer than usual. It wasn't nostalgia. It was an uncomfortable idea: even if everything changes or disappears, there is something that remains in what we lived there, a trace that does not need to be explained to exist.

If the money within blockchain represents sovereignty—the ability to own and transfer value without authorization—then identity represents power: the ability to demonstrate who you are, what you did, and what belongs to you within a system.

Without verifiable identity, decentralization remains incomplete.

From this perspective, what begins to be built is not an incremental improvement, but a new layer of infrastructure. One where identity ceases to be diffuse and becomes something verifiable, portable, and functional within global systems. Not as an accessory, but as a necessary condition for those systems to sustain themselves without internal contradictions.

Returning to that initial image, the difference between the physical world and the digital one is not just in what remains, but in what can be recognized as valid over time. In the physical world, existence leaves traces that others can observe. In the digital world, those traces need to be verified to have value.

That is why identity is not simply another layer within the infrastructure, but one of the most invisible and, at the same time, one of the most decisive.

Because in the end, it is not just about existing within a system, but being able to demonstrate it without depending on anyone else. And when that changes, it not only changes the infrastructure... it changes who has control.
