The heart of someone who once thought they were the "destroyer" of the market.
To be honest with you, I once believed that Futures was my personal ATM machine.
On the first day, like many others, I was dazzled by the bright green PnL images, the promises of "upgrading" from signal groups. I thought, "With my knowledge and sharpness, making 10-20% each day is too easy!"
-The first order wins, the next one wins too 🥰 overwhelming joy. "This market is truly a gold mine!"
And then... The market's first "slap." One evening, the chart suddenly "turned" 180 degrees.
Instead of cutting losses when the price hits the SL (the SL that I had carelessly not set), I decided to "hold on". I thought, "It will only drop a little, then it will go back up."
📉 The price has dropped deeper...
I started to feel anxious, heart racing. "Add a little DCA, average down the price and it's done!" – I comforted myself
❌ But no, the more the price drops, the more I DCA. Frustrated, I added more money, until my account burned out x10 in shock and bitterness.
After "burning out," I realized that the real mistake was not in the market, but within myself:
Overconfidence: Not setting SL, having no plan, not managing capital.
Frustration: Wanting to recover quickly leads to a series of wrong decisions.
Herd Mentality: Easily influenced by blind "signals."
✅ Experience for the new brother
🔐 SL is the truth, not setting it leads to an early demise.
🛑 Don't recover when you're upset – take a few days off.
💸 Enter small orders, consider it tuition.
🔍 Don't follow blind “signals” – you must understand what you are doing.
🎯 Remember:
- Futures can make money quickly – but can also burn out very fast.
- Emotions kill accounts – not the market.
- To live long, you must be awake and cool-headed.
