The European Union calls on Russia to immediately cease hostilities around the ZNPP and urgently restore external electricity supply, which is a necessary condition for nuclear safety.
The EU emphasised that the only long-term solution to minimise risks is the complete withdrawal of Russian troops from the ZNPP and the return of control to Ukraine.
We would like to remind you that today, October 1, the ZNPP has been disconnected from the power line for the eighth day in a row, through which the plant received power from the Ukrainian energy system. Currently, the station is supplied with electricity from diesel generators.
